Canadian Foundations

A number of private Canadian foundations have generously supported Sud Academy, providing a strong base of funding to meet the needs of the school. The Ptarmigan Charitable Foundation, the Dekker Family "Shalom" Charitable Foundation and the K.M. Hunter Charitable Foundation have all provided sizable grants to help us keep the school going. We are deeply appreciative of their generosity!

Partner Schools

quotes To those who are helping in Canada - listen, I am clapping my hands for you!

Various schools have taken on Sud Academy as a service project, either as a one-time or as an ongoing adventure. A big thanks goes out to the following schools for assisting us in raising the funds to keep Sud Academy operating.

If you are a teacher looking to have your students expand their knowledge of how kids in developing countries are struggling to get educated, please consider partnering with us! We can provide both a video and a brochure about Sud Academy as learning tools. Please use our contact form to send us a message.

Partner Organizations

We were successful in obtaining a grant of $10 000 for school supplies for Sud Academy from the Sea-to-Sea poverty alleviation fund. This fund was set up by the Christian Reformed Church from support raised when around 200 cyclists biked across North America in the summer of 2008. Volunteer coordinator Trisa Haak plans to travel to Nairobi in September of 2009 to help to organize the purchase of the school supplies. This will go far in improving the learning environment at Sud Academy!
